Kazakhstan and India Align Positions on Key Areas of Cooperation

New Delhi, June 24, 2025 Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to India Azamat Yeskarayev received the newly appointed Ambassador of India to Kazakhstan, Sailas Thangal.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed current issues of Kazakhstan–India cooperation and prospects for further expanding bilateral ties in the areas of trade, investment, and cultural and humanitarian exchanges.

Particular attention paid to attracting Indian investment into Kazakhstan's economy, expanding mutual business contacts, and strengthening cultural and educational links between the two countries. Both parties noted the high level of political dialogue and expressed readiness to join efforts in implementing specific projects of mutual interest.

In addition, during the meeting, the Indian Ambassador proposed considering the allocation of land plots on a reciprocal basis for the construction of embassy buildings in Astana and New Delhi. The parties agreed to examine this issue through their respective foreign ministries and other relevant government bodies.

At the end of the meeting, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan congratulated his Indian colleague on the beginning of his diplomatic mission in the country and wished him success in further strengthening the strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and India.
