Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs – Commander-in-Chief of the National Guard, Major General Ansagan Baltabekov, presented the capabilities of the National Guard’s new simulation classroom at the Academy of Public Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs to representatives of cooperating agencies.

The event followed the official opening of the Academy of Public Administration as part of the “Law and Order” week held by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The newly equipped classroom features cutting-edge technology that enables the recreation of real-world operational scenarios. It includes an automated command and control system currently used in daily operations.

“Creating this classroom is a vital step in training future officers of the National Guard. It offers a practice-oriented approach to education and enhances command-level competencies. Each automated workstation is designed to simulate tactical actions and provides access to key information systems for troop management. This ensures efficient training through realistic scenario modeling,” stated Major General Baltabekov.

The digital systems integrated into the classroom include a unified information platform that enables centralized monitoring of the regional operational environment, a decision-support system, and a geoinformation system embedded with regulatory frameworks and troop action protocols.

Additionally, the facility features a real-time monitoring system for operational readiness, tracking troop patrol routes and deployment statuses.

The National Guard plays a key role in maintaining public order across 21 cities in Kazakhstan. Over 7,000 service members are assigned to protect critical infrastructure and oversee 39 correctional institutions under the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The National Guard also regularly participates in joint operations alongside the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Security Committee (KNB), the Anti-Corruption Agency, and the Financial Monitoring Agency to combat organized crime groups.
