Addis Ababa, June 29, 2025 – The Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia participated in the large-scale environmental campaign "Renewal Through Planting", organized by the Addis Ababa City Administration with the support of the Ethiopian government as part of the national "Green Legacy" initiative.

The event was attended by representatives of the country's executive power, heads of diplomatic missions, international and non-governmental organizations, volunteers, and media.

To facilitate tree planting, plots were allocated to foreign embassies, bearing the names of their respective countries and organizations, which underscores the global nature of the initiative.

The "Renewal Through Planting" campaign has become a crucial element of Ethiopia's efforts to build a sustainable state, fostering unity, inclusivity and collective responsibility for a common future.

The Embassy of Kazakhstan expresses its gratitude to the Ethiopian government for the opportunity to participate in the program, which represents an important step towards sustainable development, strengthening international partnership, and joint care for the future of our planet.

For reference: As of June 2025, approximately 40 billion seedlings have been planted in Ethiopia, with an additional 7.5 billion planned for this year.
