Akim of the city of Kostanay checked the progress of road repair work. This year, 90 streets with a total length of more than 45 kilometers are planned to be repaired in the city. Of these, 80 streets are subject to average repairs, 3 streets are undergoing reconstruction, and 7 streets are undergoing routine repairs. In addition, landscaping of 49 courtyards is planned.

One of the key projects is the construction of an access road to the KIA plant. The work was started by the Arvis LLP contractor in July 2023. According to the agreement, the completion of construction and installation works is scheduled for October 2025. However, the contractor intends to deliver the facility ahead of schedule — in August of this year. The project includes the construction of a 4.5-kilometer access road, storm sewers and street lighting. At the moment, 3.2 kilometers of asphalt pavement have already been laid, and 95% of the work on storm sewers has been completed.

It is also planned to complete the reconstruction of Syanov Street in the section from Gogol Street to Rabochaya Street in August. This is a complex object with a length of 2 kilometers. There are 11 road intersections, 154 entrances, 258 meters of storm sewers, 143 meters of heating mains and outdoor lighting.

On Nazarbayev Avenue, on the section from Kairbekov Street to Donenbayev Street, an average repair of a 3.2-kilometer-long road is underway. In this area, the underground overpass will be expanded from 4 to 6 lanes. The repair work is scheduled to be completed by July 20 this year.

By the end of July, the overhaul of Shevchenko Street in the section from Baytursinova Street to Altynsarina Street, where the Saltanat market was previously located, will be completed. The width of the road will be increased from 6 to 18 meters, 4 lanes, parking spaces, sidewalks and street lighting will be provided.

The Mayor of the city focused the attention of contractors on the need to ensure high quality of work and compliance with deadlines.
