On June 23, 2026, Ambassador-at-Large – Head of the Representative Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Almaty Zhanibek Abdrashov participated and delivered a congratulatory speech at a reception on the occasion of the celebration of the Lithuania's Statehood Day. The event was also attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Lithuania to Kazakhstan, Egidiujs Navikas, and Consul General of Lithuania in Almaty, Šarune Kubiliutė. In his speech, Zh. Abdrashov noted the high level of Kazakh-Lithuanian relations, highlighting active political dialogue, strengthening of cultural and humanitarian cooperation, as well as the importance of trade, economic, and investment ties. In conclusion, the diplomat expressed confidence in the further deepening of friendly and mutually beneficial cooperation between Kazakhstan and Lithuania.
