Rio de Janeiro, July 6, 2025 – as part of the working visit of the Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan M. Nurtleu to Brazil, a Round Table was held on the topic: "Brazil-Kazakhstan: Prospects for Cooperation" with the participation of economic associations of the host country and large Brazilian companies "WEG", "Embraer", "Tramontina", "Vale", "Marcopolo" and "Amazul".

At the event, welcoming addresses were made by the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Brazil B.Nussupov, Vice-President of the National Confederation of Industry of Brazil (CNI), Co-Chairman of the "Kazakhstan-Brazil" Business Council J.Petri, President of the National Confederation of Municipalities P.Zilkovskiy, Vice-Governor of the State of Santa Catarina M.Boyom, President of the Council of the Climate Institute Bohlen & Halbach Brazil - Chairman of the Board and Founder of VON BOHLEN HALBACH SFO UAE Peter von Bohlen - Halbach and President of the company "Invest Rio" S.Levy.

The President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) “Kazakhstan-Brazil” Cassiano Pereira Viana and the official representative of "Kazakh Invest" for the Americas M.Birimzhan made thematic reports and presentations on investment opportunities in the Republic of Kazakhstan and on measures of state support for foreign investments, and also acquainted the participants with the priorities of trade, economic and investment cooperation between the Republic of Kazakhstan and Brazil. Corporate Director of the company "WEG" A.Paula, in her presentation shared plans to expand the investment project of companies in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

For his part, the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan acquainted the participants of the meeting with the current political and economic development of the country, as well as institutional reforms. The main emphasis was placed on the openness of the Kazakh economy to Brazilian investment, expansion of trade, creation of joint ventures, use of transport and logistics capabilities of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the entry of Brazilian goods into neighboring markets. The Kazakh side expressed its readiness to provide all possible support in the implementation of investment projects and an invitation to actively participate in the work of the "Kazakhstan-Brazil" Business Council.

At the end of the round table, a ceremony was held to sign bilateral documents: a Memorandum of Cooperation between the East Kazakhstan Region (RK) and the State of Santa Catarina (FRB), a Memorandum of Cooperation in the Industrial Sphere between the Union of Mechanical Engineers of Kazakhstan and the Brazilian Agency for Industrial Development (ABDI) and a Memorandum of Cooperation between JSC NC “Kazakh Invest” and the company “VON BOHLEN HALBACH SFO FZ-LLC” to attract investment.
