The mayor of Shymkent, Gabit Syzdykbekov, met with French businessmen led by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Kazakhstan, Sylvain Giogé.

Leading French companies such as EDF, Veolia, AZ Syndicat, C3Medical, Dualest, SP ALMGT, Richel Group, and representatives of the France-Kazakhstan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIFK) are interested in implementing a number of joint projects in Shymkent.

During the meeting, a Roadmap was signed aimed at strengthening cooperation and implementing joint projects for 2025–2028. The document provides for the development of cultural and educational exchange, the introduction of advanced French technologies in the fields of urban planning, agriculture and urban infrastructure, as well as increased partnership in the fields of healthcare, science and education.

The document reached at this meeting will also contribute to the development of tourism. It includes holding the Days of French Culture in Shymkent and the Days of Shymkent in France, as well as measures to improve the investment climate and expand business ties. The implementation of the roadmap will open up new opportunities for the city's residents and will be an important step in the sustainable development of Shymkent.

In general, this meeting was organized within the framework of the implementation of the instructions of the Head of State to attract investment, improve the investment climate, and optimize the conditions for doing business.

The mayor of the city thanked the French delegation for the interest shown in the metropolis, noting that the B2B and G2B meetings held within the framework of the business forum will give a new impetus to cooperation and open up new opportunities.
