In particular, today 29 kilometers of heating networks and 330 kilometers of electrical networks have been reconstructed in our city. Boilers have been repaired, 50 electrical transformers have been replaced. In addition, Shymkent is considering replacing more than 400 kilometers of outdated electrical networks and building a new "Kyzylsu" electrical substation with a capacity of 125 MW.

Also, the boiler house in the administrative and business center currently provides 10% of the city with heat and hot water. Local authorities plan to install 4 boiler houses with a total capacity of 120 Gcal in addition to the existing 5 boiler houses by 2027, which will increase the volume of heat supply to the city by 20% (from 150 to 530 houses).

The only CHP-3 station in Shymkent is operating. It provides the city with 70% of heat and 30% of electricity. The total length of the heating network from CHP-3 to the city is about 60 kilometers, and their wear is 90%. In this regard, a decision was made to include the reconstruction of 17 kilometers of these heating networks in the National Project.
Another 40 MW "Dendropark" power substation is in operation. According to the akimat, the project was implemented without budget funds in 2024 as part of the "Tariff for Investment" investment program. The power substation will provide new residential areas with high-quality electricity.
