The General Command of the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a meeting summarizing the first half of 2025, focusing on social welfare and increasing financial support for military personnel.

The meeting brought together representatives of the Military Department of the Committee on Legal Statistics and Special Records of the Prosecutor General’s Office, as well as senior staff of the General Command and specialized departments. The main agenda centered on the pressing social issues faced by service members and the development of legislative proposals to address them.

Major General Kairat Umbetov, Deputy Commander-in-Chief for Educational and Social-Legal Work of the National Guard, emphasized:

“Improving the quality of life for service members is one of our top priorities. Guardsmen stand daily at the front lines of public order and safety. We must provide them with dignified service conditions and reliable social support. This meeting is not just about reviewing results — it is about setting the direction for the months ahead.”

As a result of the meeting, it was decided to form a working group comprising representatives of the National Guard, legal experts, and officials from relevant government bodies. The group's mission is to develop specific legislative proposals aimed at improving social conditions and increasing service pay for military personnel.

The Military Department highlighted the urgent need to enhance service members' social conditions and stressed the importance of legislative reforms to ensure fair compensation and comprehensive social protection.

One of the key initiatives discussed was the proposal to introduce a financial bonus for service workload, which, according to participants, would serve as a real step toward boosting morale and reinforcing social stability within the military.

Work in this direction will continue through the end of the year, with mandatory consideration of proposals at the level of authorized government agencies.
