Nearly 10,000 Offenders Detained by the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Six Months

In the first half of 2025, servicemen of the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan made a significant contribution to public safety and the fight against crime.

Key achievements from January to June include:

  • 173 units of cold and firearms and ammunition seized from illegal circulation.

  • 828 grams of narcotic substances confiscated.

  • 73 lost children safely found and reunited with their families.

  • 24 fire incidents responded to, with civilians rescued thanks to quick actions by guardsmen.

  • 54 lost items and 113 smartphones returned to their rightful owners.

Additionally, medical assistance was provided to 32 individuals, including those suffering from heart attacks, asthma attacks, injuries from traffic accidents, or suicide attempts.

Guardsmen also thwarted 77 attempts to smuggle contraband items into correctional institutions, detaining 55 individuals in the process.

In total, 9,919 citizens who violated public order were detained and handed over to law enforcement authorities. Among them, 379 were suspected of committing criminal offenses.

The National Guard also participated in:

  • 343 cultural and sports events to maintain public order.

  • 35 search and rescue operations across the country.

For their dedicated service, courage, and swift actions, 190 servicemen were officially awarded throughout the republic.

It is important to note that more than 8,000 Guardsmen are deployed daily across 21 cities of Kazakhstan, working alongside police to ensure public order and safety.
