The tournament, held at the Bekzat Sattarkhanov Sports Complex, has brought together military personnel and officers from National Guard units across the country.
The official opening ceremony began with a moment of silence in memory of those who died in the line of duty. Among the honored guests were Deputy Chief of the Turkestan Region Police Department Bauyrzhan Sapar, Commander of the Turkestan Brigade Talgat Mazhimbekov, and Honored Coach of Kazakhstan Abdysadyk Khalilayev, who all wished the athletes fair competition and success on the mat.

Following the opening ceremony, approximately 70 athletes took to the mat to begin the first bouts. Participants were divided into 7 teams and competed in various weight categories.
According to Colonel Satzhan Abishev, Head of the Physical Training and Sports Department of the National Guard’s General Command, the championship includes winners of national and Asian tournaments, as well as medalists of international competitions.
