Skopje, July 8, 2025 – Kazakhstan Ambassador Satybaldy Burshakov met with the Head of the delegation of North Macedonia to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), MP Marija Petrushevska.

During the meeting, Ambassador Burshakov informed about the political and economic reforms in Kazakhstan, the prospects for the development of Kazakh-Macedonian cooperation, as well as the Embassy's initiatives carried out this year as part of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

The diplomat told the deputy about the visits of a representative Macedonian delegation to Kazakhstan and participation in the Astana International Forum in May this year, as well as a meaningful meeting between Presidents Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova within the framework of this event. 

Special attention was paid to bilateral cooperation within PACE, as well as strengthening interparliamentary ties between Astana and Skopje.

Marija Petrushevska welcomed the official opening of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in North Macedonia, noting that this event will give an additional impetus to the deepening of bilateral ties and open up new prospects for cooperation at all levels.

The MP highly appreciated the current development of Kazakhstan and expressed interest in further fruitful cooperation.
