Servicemen of the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan once again demonstrated vigilance by preventing the delivery of prohibited items to a correctional institution.

The incident occurred during a routine shift at a technical checkpoint. Guards from the separate rifle company of military unit 6505, part of the “Орталық” Regional Command, including Yerlan Kanat, canine handler’s assistant Bereke Donebay, and sentries Yerbolat Toilybay and Yernaz Askerbekov, stopped a GAZelle cargo vehicle for inspection.

During the inspection, with the help of a service dog, prohibited items were found carefully hidden among paint cans. The discovered items included 8 mobile phones, 4 chargers, 2 SIM cards, and 3 pairs of earphones.

The guards immediately reported the incident to the duty officer, and an investigative team was dispatched to the scene. An official investigation is currently underway.
