Government business support: from infrastructure to air travel subsidies

The Ministry of Tourism and Sports implements 7 state support measures at the system level. The measures are aimed at improving the quality of tourist products, developing domestic and inbound tourism.

✔️Reimbursement of part of the cost of purchasing equipment and equipment for ski resorts

The state reimburses 25% of the cost of purchasing lifts, snow removal equipment and artificial snowmaking equipment.

✔️Reimbursement of costs for the construction of roadside service facilities

10% of the cost of building motels, gas stations, catering facilities, pharmacies and other service facilities is compensated from the state budget.

✔️Reimbursement of part of the costs of construction and reconstruction of tourist facilities

10% of the costs of construction or reconstruction of facilities necessary for the provision of tourist services are subject to subsidization.

✔️Reimbursement of part of the cost of purchasing vehicles for tourist activities

25% of the cost of buses with a capacity of more than 8 seats (excluding the driver) is reimbursed, provided that the equipment will be used exclusively for tourist purposes for at least 5 years.

✔️Subsidizing the costs of tour operators working with inbound tourism

A subsidy of 15,000 tenge is paid for each foreign tourist. The condition is that the tourist stays in the country for at least 4 days and 3 nights, as well as registration in the eQonaq system.

✔️Subsidizing the cost of air tickets for underage passengers (Kids Go Free)

Children under the age of 18 can travel around Kazakhstan for free. To do this, you need to purchase a tour from a tour operator working in domestic tourism. The cost of air tickets included in the travel package is subsidized by 100%.

✔️Subsidizing the maintenance of sanitary and hygienic units (SSU)

Facilities located in tourist areas, along highways and in specially protected natural areas receive a monthly subsidy of 83,300 tenge for their maintenance.

These support measures contribute to an increase in the flow of domestic tourists, the development of tourism products, the improvement of infrastructure and the improvement of the quality of services provided.
