Kazakh Guardsman Becomes the Only Three-Time Winner of the “Blade” at Prestigious Sniper Competition in China

The international sniper competition “Sharp Blade” has concluded in Ürümqi, China, bringing together around 60 sniper pairs from 18 countries. The National Guard team of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan demonstrated a strong and confident performance, securing 6th place in the overall team standings — reaffirming the high level of training of Kazakh snipers.
A special highlight of the tournament was the achievement of the soldier with the callsign Tarzan, who became the only participant in the history of the competition to win the legendary “Blade” exercise three times — in 2018, 2023, and 2025.
The competition featured some of the most challenging practical exercises designed to closely simulate real combat scenarios — from precision shooting and tactical maneuvers to hostage rescue operations and field fortification building. In each of these stages, the Burkit Team fighters displayed calmness under pressure, high-level skill, and seamless teamwork.

In addition, the Republic of Kazakhstan was presented with the Cup for Best Sniper Pair Tactics, recognizing the professional skill and tactical excellence of its military personnel.
Completing the competition with honor and at a high level, the Burkit Team fighters demonstrated fighting spirit, consistency, and the international strength of Kazakhstan’s sniper training school.
