A number of mass media, information groups and social media pages spread false information that, according to current legislation, only families with 6 or more children are recognized as having many children. The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan informs that, in accordance with current legislation, a family with 4 or more minor children or full-time students under the age of 23 gets the status of a large family. Such families are paid a monthly allowance regardless of income. The amount of payments to a large family is differentiated depending on the number of children and in 2025 amounts to: - with 4 children – 16.03 MCI or 63 030 tenge; - with 5 children – 20.04 MCI or 78,798 tenge; - with 6 children – 24.05 MCI or 94,565 tenge; - with 7 children – 28.06 MCI or 110,332 tenge; - with 8 or more children – 4 MCI or 15,728 tenge per child. In addition, women who have given birth to and raised 6 or more children and have pendants "Kumis alka", "Altyn alka" or who previously received the title of "Mother Heroine", awarded the Orders of Maternal Glory of I and II degrees, receive monthly allowances to awarded mothers in the following amounts:: - awarded with the Kumis Alka pendant – 6.40 MCI or 25,165 tenge; - awarded the "Altyn alka" pendant or those who previously received the title of "Mother Heroine", awarded the Orders of "Maternal Glory" of I and II degrees - 7.40 MCI or 29,097 tenge.
