As part of the “Raise Your Flag in Your Homeland” campaign dedicated to the 180th anniversary of Abai, construction has begun on the “Ethno Village Zhidebai” tourist complex near the “Abai-Shakarim” mausoleum in the district. Today, a foundation-laying ceremony was held, attended by regional Akim Berik Uali and philanthropist Bektas Medgatov.
The complex, initiated by local philanthropist Bektas Medgatov, will cover an area of 60 hectares and cost 1.2 billion tenge. The project aims to develop regional tourism, promote cultural and spiritual heritage, and turn Zhidebai into a key international tourist destination.
The complex will include year-round operational yurts and bungalow-style guesthouses, an ethno-SPA center, and public dining facilities. It will also feature a racetrack, zoo, conference hall, teambuilding zones, electric vehicle charging stations, and a facility for bottling kumis.
Once the project is launched, 50 permanent jobs will be created, contributing to local employment and enhancing the region’s tourism potential.
The regional Akim emphasized that the project will not only boost the tourism sector but also stimulate the district’s economy.
