A meeting of the city commission on organizing the national competition "Celebratory Family-2025" was held in Shymkent. Here, commission members reviewed documents and watched video clips to select the best among the families who applied to compete in the national competition aimed at promoting family values and strengthening the institution of the family.
When selecting the best families, the commission members paid attention to the achievements of each of them, their family traditions, and national values.
In addition, the abilities and talents of family members were not ignored. Spending free time effectively, leading a healthy lifestyle, volunteering, and charitable work were also taken into account when choosing.
The main goals of the competition are to strengthen the institution of family, morality, and recognize the importance of responsible marriage; to increase the responsibility of parents in raising children; to promote family values, care of adult children for disabled and elderly parents; and to promote a positive image of the Kazakhstani family.
This year, a total of 20 families, 4 from each district, were selected for the city stage. Families with achievements in labor and sports, creative and intellectual spheres, science and art, as well as families actively involved in public service, large families, families with special children, veterans, working people, and creative families are participating.
After the commission meeting, the winners of the city stage will be announced. The family recognized as the best will receive a ticket to the republican stage. The grand award ceremony of the city stage will be held in August.
It is worth noting that the "Mereili Otbasy" national competition has been held annually in Kazakhstan since 2013.
