The transfer of Abai Kunanbayev's spiritual heritage to the younger generation is a requirement of time. In this direction, special "Abai ortalyktars" have been opened in 100 of the 329 state libraries of the Akmola region, which already serve the society today.
This initiative is aimed at popularizing the immortal words of the great poet, awakening national consciousness among young people. Each center is not just a bookshelf, but a path to deep knowledge, wisdom and thinking of Abai. Inspired by the word of Abai, young people enter the world of spiritual search.
Since the beginning of the project, more than 150 cultural and educational events have been held, which were attended by about 3,000 people. Today, the library fund of the region has more than 4 million books, of which about 10,000 works by Abai Kunanbayev and research about him have occupied a worthy place in the spiritual space of the people.
The centers include the poet's works, his biography, philosophical reflections, as well as the works of researchers. These are not just informational materials, but instructions that resonate with a thinking heart.
On August 1, it is planned to officially open new Abai centers in the Magzhan Zhumabayev regional universal Scientific library, as well as in the libraries of the Burabay and Sandyktaus districts. These events will be a vivid manifestation of the people's love for the great thinker and respect for his legacy.
In addition, 94 structural units, 2 settlements, 5 schools and 1 library in the region are named after the philosopher, educator and founder of Kazakh literature — Abai Kunanbayev.
The Abai centers are a great spiritual testament to the descendants. The library system of the Akmola region will continue to develop this project in the future, contributing to the cultural renewal of the region.
