On July 18, 2025, it was reported that preparations for the upcoming heating season are in full swing in Turan district and Shymkent city. This is one of the most important initiatives aimed at ensuring a comfortable life for citizens and reliable heat supply in homes. The readiness of the heating system, networks and boiler rooms in the city and district is being systematically checked, defects are identified and repairs are being carried out.

First, about the work on heating networks. Annual hydraulic tests were carried out on heating networks, as a result of which 98 defects were identified during pressure testing of the networks. To date, 68 of them, that is, more than 70%, have been completely eliminated. This is an important indicator of the condition of the main and internal pipeline system. In addition, the stability of water pressure and heat transfer is checked.

According to experts, the quality of the heating season directly depends on the readiness of houses and social facilities. In this regard, special attention was paid to multi-storey residential buildings, 456 out of a total of 2,154 houses have fully completed preparation. Here, heating radiators were checked and work was carried out to bring them into working condition. Also, small air conditioners and taps in the apartments were put in order.

In addition, schools, hospitals, and cultural centers were not left out of the city's social facilities. A total of 212 social facilities were considered, of which 104 have been formalized and are ready for the system. This is important for students and patients, as well as for citizens of the city involved in sports and art.

One of the objects closely related to the heating network is boiler houses and pumping stations. Currently, 16 of the 27 main boiler houses in the city have successfully passed the preparatory work. 20 of the 40 boiler houses located in schools have passed the main stage of repair. Special teams are working on pumping stations, and 47% of the planned volume has been completed. Capital and current repairs are being considered, and the material and technical suitability of boiler houses and stations is being increased.

In addition, the agenda includes the modernization of thermal insulation systems of komyzyk pipes. All insulation of networks with old insulation throughout the city will be replaced and put into operation by September 1. In addition, 2,927 valves will be inspected, of which about 80 will need to be completely replaced. This is necessary to ensure the efficiency of the pipes and prevent accidents.

The modernization of networks is also carried out in a complex manner in terms of geography. Currently, a total of 33.2 km of heat pipelines are planned to be completely replaced in 137 sections of the city, and the work will be completed by October 10. In addition, 0.45 km of pipelines are being upgraded in the Sunshine microdistrict. This is an important step that will have a comprehensive impact on residents.

Within the framework of national projects, it is planned to modernize the main heat pipelines from CHP-3 to the main pumping station ONS-1. This includes a total of 17 km of pipeline system. Its first stage will be carried out in 2025–2026, and 4.5 km of the main will be replaced. This project plays an important role in increasing the reliability of the city's engineering infrastructure and improving environmental performance.

Preparations for the heating season also affect the ecosystem. Replacing pipes and regulating the quality of heat supply will improve energy efficiency in the city's infrastructure, and will also reduce the city's carbon dioxide and dust pollution. The combination of Soviet and updated plans with modern technologies will contribute to improving the quality of life of the population.

Compared to previous years, last year, despite intensive preparations for a similar season, the scale and technical equipment of the renovation were insignificant compared to the current period. In 2024, only small sections of pipes were replaced and boiler systems were adjusted, and minor defects were not completely closed. In 2025, a comprehensive approach was adopted, and networks, facilities and stations at all levels were considered for renovation.

In conclusion, the preparatory work that began on July 18 is aimed at strengthening the infrastructure of the city of Shymkent, creating a timely and high-quality heating system for residents. In the coming periods, the quality of work, deadlines, and the level of public satisfaction will be systematically monitored.
