July 13, 2025 - On the eve of Fishermen's Day, the regional public took a special part in the "Clean Thursday" environmental campaign organized by the "AMANAT" party in Shymkent. This initiative is implemented as part of the regular environmental campaigns within the framework of the "Clean Kazakhstan" national project of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. Such campaigns raise the environmental culture of the city and encourage residents to do a common good deed.

The campaign was held along the Koshkar Ata River. This time, more than 50 participants - employees of the city and district party branches, volunteers of the "Zhastar Ruhy" organization and representatives of municipal services - joined forces to clean up the water channel and the bottom of the water. In addition to the garbage collection work, sanitary pruning of trees, mowing weeds, and cleaning up the banks were carried out. Thus, the recreation area acquired a natural and attractive appearance.

In 2025 alone, the Clean Thursday campaign was organized 26 times. Since that first month, about 2,500 people have actively participated, and about 24 tons of garbage have been removed. In addition, more than 200 tree seedlings have been planted. This shows the scale of the environmental initiative and the interest of citizens in environmental culture.

The event on July 13, 2025 is being held not only in Shymkent, but also in other regions in a similar way. For example, in the summer of 2024, the “Clean Town” campaign was organized in Almaty on the occasion of Fisherman’s Day, when the Public Council and environmental organizations jointly removed garbage from the lake near the city and the surrounding fields. More than 150 volunteers gathered that day and removed 15 tons of garbage. Thus, the scale of the campaign expanded to the Almaty scale, showing that residents do not forget about the common interest.

A similar campaign in Nur-Sultan in 2023 was called "Green Road", where rivers and parks in and around the city were cleaned. About 300 people participated in this event, and about 30 tons of garbage were removed. In addition, in 2022, a volunteer Saturday called "Clean and Vigilant City" was held in Karaganda, where more than 100 people actively participated that day, and a small forum was organized to promote environmental culture, where young people and schoolchildren listened to lectures.

In comparison, Shymkent's "Clean Thursday" campaign is not just a one-day event, but a systematic one that is held regularly throughout the year. While the Almaty and Nur-Sultan campaigns were held on a one-day basis and focused on garbage collection on that day, Shymkent organizes environmental clean-up activities every Thursday and in different locations. All 26 campaigns held in 2025 were held in different districts, parks, along the river and on street squares, ensuring wide coverage.

This systematic and effective approach will help to create an ecological culture in Shymkent and increase the responsibility of residents for their environment. The main goal is to ensure that not only the riverside, but also all living spaces in the city are clean and tidy.

The current campaign also focused on ensuring environmental safety - not only sanitary conditions, but also aimed at improving the aesthetic situation. The riverside, where garbage was collected, grass was mowed, and trees were well-groomed, acquired a noble appearance worthy of a park. This is the work of citizens who participated in the creation of a comfortable public environment. It is proven that the impact of a clean environment has a positive effect on the health and psychological state of the population.

The AMANAT party aims to set an example for future generations through such initiatives, to implement common interests and principles. Protecting nature is no longer a personal choice of the public, but a national duty. Every Saturday, volunteers go out into the countryside, plant trees, and clean rivers, practicing urban improvement.

Clean Kazakhstan is a continuation of these campaigns. It is not enough to collect old appliances and garbage on one Saturday. If regular, weekly campaigns like those in Shymkent continue to increase, the formation of an ecological culture will be carried out in a cylindrical manner. This is a clear example: "My city is my home."

In general, the action held on July 13, 2025 involved schools, universities, public organizations, and party structures. This is a demonstration of the ability of a unified force to work in a single system. Unlike one-day actions in other regions, Shymkent is calling for public activity every Saturday, forming a permanent environmental habit. This is a symbol of environmental responsibility, an indicator of common spirit and unity.
