The Department of State Revenue for the Mangystau region informs that in order to combat the shadow economy and counterfeiting in Kazakhstan, a system of labeling goods with means of identification has been introduced. This means:

- more transparency for business;

- quality assurance for citizens;

- reduction of illegal traffic.

Special attention is paid to tobacco products. Due to labeling, the volume of counterfeit goods in the country decreased from 8.3 million to 4.8 million packs, and excise receipts increased to 151.4 billion tenge.
