Warsaw, July 29, 2025 – Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Poland Nurlan Zhalgasbayev met with the Chairman of the Conference of Polish Bishops, Archbishop Tadeusz Wojda. During the meeting, the parties discussed the current international situation as well as specific aspects of bilateral relations of mutual interest.
The parties noted that over the past decades, Kazakhstan and Poland have accumulated significant experience in fruitful bilateral cooperation across all areas and have established constructive engagement within the framework of international organizations.
The Ambassador of Kazakhstan emphasized that a distinctive feature of Kazakhstan’s model of democracy is its focus on maintaining interfaith and interethnic harmony. In particular, all necessary conditions have been created in the country for the functioning of the Catholic Church, which consistently contributes to the strengthening of global interreligious dialogue and the development of spiritual diplomacy. It was also noted that the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, preparations for which are currently underway in Kazakhstan, plays an important role in addressing contemporary global challenges.
For his part, Archbishop Wojda highlighted that the Polish diaspora in Kazakhstan, which received a significant impetus for the revival of national identity and culture following our country’s independence, serves as a bridge between the peoples and contributes to the strengthening of bilateral ties.
The parties expressed confidence that the Kazakh-Polish partnership will continue to strengthen in the interests of the friendly peoples through comprehensive cooperation in all areas.
