Kazakh Ambassador Discusses Prospects for Expert Cooperation with PISM

Warsaw, July 30, 2025 – The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Poland, Nurlan Zhalgasbayev, held a meeting with the Director of the Polish Institute of International Affairs (PISM), Jarosław Ćwiek-Karpowicz.

The two sides exchanged views on key issues of the international and bilateral agenda. During the discussion, the Kazakh diplomat provided the Polish expert with a detailed overview of Kazakhstan’s position on pressing regional and global political matters.

Particular attention was given to the prospects of strengthening Kazakh-Polish cooperation through the intensification of collaboration between analytical centers. N.Zhalgasbayev emphasized the important role of think tanks in advancing public diplomacy and shaping an objective image of the country on the international stage.

It was underscored that Kazakhstan has established itself as a reliable and predictable partner, generating sustained interest among the expert community. It was noted that Polish research institutions could play a meaningful role in analyzing current geopolitical trends and formulating recommendations aimed at enhancing cooperation between the European Union and the countries of Central Asia.

Both sides agreed that establishing direct expert-level dialogue would contribute to raising awareness among the Polish public about Kazakhstan and Central Asia, as well as foster a more accurate and nuanced understanding of developments in the region.

As a result of the meeting, the parties reached an agreement to continue cooperation through the exchange of analytical materials and expert assessments on issues of mutual interest.
