From July 31 to August 2, the city of Karaganda hosted the sports sambo competition as part of the XII Spartakiad of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, organized by the Central Sports Society FSO “Dynamo.” The event brought together over 150 of the strongest athletes from 25 teams across the country.

For the first time in history, the National Guard team achieved a decisive victory, taking 1st place in the overall team standings, ahead of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (2nd place) and FSO “Dynamo” (3rd place).

Individual achievements of the guardsmen:

• 58 kg – 1st place

• 71 kg – 3rd place
  📍 Private Makhambet Konysbayev (military unit 3660)

• 88 kg – 2nd place
  📍 Private Azat Kuanov (military unit 6655)

• 98 kg – 1st place
  📍 Private Yelaman Koyshybayev (military unit 6636)

• +98 kg – 1st place
  📍 Private Sanzhar Zhabborov (military unit 5573)

This outstanding success is a vivid testament to the high level of physical fitness, fighting spirit, and professionalism of the servicemen of the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, who proudly represented their department at a prestigious competition.
