At the Academy of the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, more than 30 cadets were solemnly sworn into military service after being admitted to military educational institutions in the Russian Federation and the Republic of Türkiye. All of them were selected through competitive procedures under international agreements and treaties signed between the respective countries.

The military oath is far more than a formality. It is a significant act of moral responsibility and a symbolic entry into the ranks of the nation’s defenders. Every individual who recites the words of the oath assumes a duty of loyalty to their homeland and people, a readiness to serve, and a willingness to sacrifice for peace and national security.

This year, special attention was drawn to two young women who took the military oath alongside their fellow cadets. They represent the fourth cohort of female personnel from the National Guard to be sent for training in the field of military medicine. Ahead of them lies years of study in Saint Petersburg. Their decision to pursue a career as military doctors once again demonstrates that Kazakhstani women are ready to serve with honor alongside men, taking on responsible and patriotic roles.

Addressing the cadets, Colonel Erden Balgimbaev, Deputy Head of the Academy for Educational and Social-Legal Affairs, emphasized the importance of the occasion:
— By taking the oath, you become full-fledged members of the National Guard. You have the high honor of representing Kazakhstan abroad. Through your conduct and academic performance, other nations will form their impressions of our country.

Words of encouragement were also offered by Imangali Tatvayev, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Veterans of Petropavlovsk:
— The military oath must become your lifelong moral and ethical compass throughout your cadet and future officer careers. Always remain faithful to your oath, serve with honor and dignity, and fulfill your duty in defending the peaceful and productive lives of Kazakhstan’s multiethnic population. Your dream to become officers is noble and honorable. The officer profession is one for the brave—true patriots of the Motherland.

On behalf of all first-year cadets, Cadet Azamat Tursynkhanov delivered a speech of gratitude for the trust placed in them and pledged to carry the name of Kazakhstan with pride, representing the country with dignity in foreign military institutions.

This day marked the beginning of an important journey for the future officers—a path of service, courage, and continuous self-improvement. The oath they swore will serve not just as a formal requirement, but as a guiding principle, a moral beacon, and a lasting symbol of loyalty to the Motherland.
