A wedding ceremony was held at Institution №51 in the North Kazakhstan region, where an inmate and his beloved officially registered their marriage in the presence of a representative from the Civil Registry Office.

Starting a family is a significant milestone in anyone’s life, especially in conditions of isolation from society. Family plays a crucial role in the rehabilitation and reintegration of inmates, fostering a sense of responsibility, emotional support, and a desire for positive change.

Since the beginning of this year, this has been the 35th couple to get married within the penal institutions of the region. These events are a testament to the fact that even behind bars, human feelings, hope, and the aspiration for a meaningful life after release endure.

The institution's administration fully supports such initiatives, viewing them as an important part of the educational and rehabilitative work, and a key element in the successful reintegration of inmates into society.
