On August 6, 2025, Ambassador-at-Large – Head of the Representative Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Almaty Zhanibek Abdrashov presented the exequatur to the newly appointed Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran Sona Ahmadi and wished success in her mission. In turn, the Consul General of Iran expressed her gratitude and confirmed willingness to work for the benefit of the development of bilateral relations.
