Debrecen, August 5, 2025 – As part of efforts to strengthen bilateral economic cooperation, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Hungary, Mr. Abzal Saparbekuly, paid a working visit to the city of Debrecen.

The program included a series of productive meetings with representatives of Hungarian businesses and local authorities, during which specific areas of investment cooperation were discussed.

During negotiations with the leadership of Özse Group and Agropoint Kft., strong interest was expressed in implementing agro-industrial projects in Kazakhstan. The Hungarian partners showed willingness to consider participation in the construction of production facilities, development of livestock farming, and cultivation of agricultural crops. The Kazakh side presented available state support mechanisms, industrial zone opportunities, and favorable conditions for doing business.

An official meeting was held with Mr. Lajos Barcsa, Deputy Mayor of Debrecen, where prospects for interregional cooperation were discussed, including in the fields of investment, logistics, culture, education, and technological exchange. The city authorities expressed readiness to support the development of business ties between Debrecen-based companies and Kazakh partners.

The visit concluded with site visits to Zolend Kft. and Pizza D’Oro Kft., where discussions were held on localizing production in Kazakhstan and expanding industrial cooperation. Both companies showed interest in establishing a production-investment presence in Central Asia, targeting Kazakhstan as a regional hub.

The outcomes of the visit confirmed a strong foundation for further cooperation. The parties agreed to maintain working contacts and develop concrete steps for launching joint investment initiatives in Kazakhstan.
