KazAID and TİKA strengthen partnership in the field of official development assistance

On 6 August 2025, in Astana, a meeting was held between Arken Arystanov, Chairman of the Board of KazAID, and Fuat Erdemus, Coordinator of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) in Kazakhstan and Abdulkadir Abukan, representative of the Department of International Programmes in the field of education, exchange of experience and training at TIKA headquarters.

The parties discussed key areas of cooperation, including the implementation of joint projects in the fields of experience sharing, healthcare and education. Particular attention was paid to strengthening cooperation in the area of technical assistance.

One of our joint projects is the “Avicenna: Healthcare” programme, implemented by KazAID and TİKA in 2024–2025. As part of this programme, students and teachers from medical universities in Central Asian countries are receiving training in Kazakhstan.

The meeting was an important step towards expanding the strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and Turkey in the field of official development assistance.
