Kazakhstan and Slovakia Aim to Implement Joint Projects in the Transport Sector

Bratislava, August 5, 2025 – The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the Slovak Republic, Zhanna Saginova, met with Matej Danoci, Director General of the Slovak state-owned company Public Ports, a.s.

During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of issues related to strengthening bilateral cooperation in the fields of transport, transit, and logistics. Special attention was given to the potential for cooperation between Kazakhstani and Slovak port authorities, as well as the development of multimodal transport along the Danube River.

The Ambassador highlighted Kazakhstan's active role in the development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route as a platform for sustainable integration into global supply chains. She emphasized the geographically complementary positioning of the two countries, which opens new opportunities for the creation of logistics corridors between Europe and Asia.

Mr. Danoci, in turn, presented the capabilities of the Bratislava port and shared plans for its large-scale modernization.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their readiness to continue a constructive dialogue.
