A ceremony held in Bolivia on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of independence

Sucre, August 6, 2025 – On behalf of the Head of State, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Brazil, Bolat Nussupov, took part in the official session celebrating the bicentennial of Bolivia’s independence, held in the city of Sucre. The event took place at the Casa de la Libertad – a historic museum and a symbol of Bolivia’s independence.
The ceremony was attended by leaders and representatives of several South American countries, high-level delegations from the Caribbean, North America, the European Union, Asia, and Africa, as well as heads of international and regional organizations and ambassadors accredited in Bolivia.
Earlier, the President of Bolivia, Luis Alberto Arce, had sent a personal message to the Head of State with an invitation to participate in the official ceremony marking the 200th anniversary of Bolivia’s independence. The celebrations took place against the backdrop of preparations for the presidential elections scheduled for August 17, 2025. The large-scale commemoration of Bolivia’s bicentennial became an important element in strengthening the country’s international ties and demonstrated Bolivia’s readiness for open dialogue and cooperation with foreign nations.
