A working meeting was held jointly with the Department of Education of the West Kazakhstan region on the organization of convicts' education in secondary schools, as well as their vocational education.

The event was attended by representatives of penitentiary institutions, educational authorities and specialized organizations. The participants discussed mechanisms of interaction, issues of improving the quality of education, expanding the list of available professions, as well as employment opportunities for convicts after release.

Special attention was paid to the importance of educational programs as one of the key tools for re-socialization and reducing the level of repeat offenses.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to work together to ensure accessibility and quality of education for convicts, as well as to develop additional vocational training courses focused on sought-after specialties in the region.
