Islamabad, August 7, 2025 – Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Y.Kistafin, together with the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan A.Movlamov, held a meeting with the Federal Minister of Railways of Pakistan Muhammad Hanif Abbasi.

During the meeting, Y.Kistafin informed about the work being carried out to strengthen cooperation between Kazakhstan and Pakistan, including planned events in the second half of 2025. The Ambassador of Kazakhstan paid special attention to the transport and logistics component, expressing the intention of the Kazakh side to activate and diversify international transport corridors connecting Kazakhstan and Pakistan. Particular emphasis was placed on railway projects, the implementation of which will contribute to a significant increase in both bilateral and regional trade.

In turn, Muhammad Hanif Abbasi supported the initiatives announced, expressing interest in strengthening cooperation with Kazakhstan in the transport and logistics sector and diversifying existing routes, including through the use of multimodal formats.

In response to the invitation to visit Kazakhstan to participate in the TransLogistica Kazakhstan 2025 international exhibition and the New Silk Way transport forum in Almaty, he expressed his gratitude and accepted the invitation.
