The final evening of the "Abai World" republican competition dedicated to glorifying the literary and spiritual heritage of the great thinker Abai Kunanbayuly was held in Shymkent.

The first stage of the competition was held from June 1 to July 15. This year, 117 candidates aged 18-35 participated, 26 of whom made it to the finals. Participants came from all regions of the country.

At the gala evening, the finalists read Abai's poems and short stories with great skill and presented their research on his work. Deputy Akim of Shymkent Sarsen Kuranbek noted the importance of Abai's legacy in instilling spiritual and moral values in the younger generation.

The grand prize was won by Malik Bekzhan, an employee of military unit 6506, who received a reward of 1 million tenge. Azat Mynbayev from the West Kazakhstan region took first place and received a prize of 700 thousand tenge.

The "Abai World" competition has been held for the third year in a row and has become an important platform for identifying young talents and promoting Abai's work.
