On August 9, in the “Sol zhagalau kesheni” Park of Culture and Recreation, the creative zone “ABAI. LIVE” unfolded, dedicated to the celebration of the 180th anniversary of the great Kazakh poet, philosopher, and educator Abai Qunanbaiuly.

The interactive space, designed in a creative style, became a point of attraction for residents and guests of the city, offering an engaging and educational program.

For participants, an exciting knowledge game called “Who Are You According to Abai?” was organized, in which everyone could find a response in their own soul and answer an important question: which of Abai’s philosophical qualities is closest to your character — thinker, dreamer, or mentor?

Fascinating ornament-making master classes allowed all who wished to immerse themselves in the world of patterns, learn various techniques, and bring their creative ideas to life.

A photo wall with Abai’s quotes, designed in modern graphics, became a perfect opportunity for guests to capture themselves against a stylish art object — an ideal backdrop for memorable shots surrounded by wisdom.

A book exhibition, where every page breathed history and each item transported visitors into the era of the great poet, served as a living window into the past. It was an attempt to recreate the world that surrounded Abai and inspired him to create his immortal verses.

In a cozy corner — the music zone with headphones titled “The Voice of Abai Nearby” — his poems came to life through the performance of talented artists, helping listeners feel the inspiration that has flowed from Abai’s words for centuries.

Fans of table-top challenges were offered traditional Kazakh games that develop strategic thinking and a sense of tact — asyk and togyzqumalaq.

The creative zone “ABAI. LIVE” united past and present, word and image, knowledge and play.
