Brasilia, August 12, 2025 – The Ambassador Bolat Nussupov met with the Authorized Representative-Counselor of the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Ecuador, Mr. Santiago Zuniga Villaveces at the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Brazil.

During the conversation, the Ambassador congratulated the Honorary Consul of Kazakhstan in Ecuador, Mr. Leopoldo Ocampo, on his official assumption of office and presented his representative with a consular patent of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The parties discussed current issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of economy and trade, culture and education, as well as consular and legal issues.

The main attention was paid to the aspects of preparing the first political consultations between the foreign ministries of the two countries, the official opening of the Honorary Consulate and a meeting with the business community of Ecuador in Quito in October this year.

Following the talks, an agreement was reached to maintain permanent working contacts between the Honorary Consulate and the Embassy on the above issues.
