On August 7, 2025, a sanitary cleaning and landscaping campaign organized by ShymkentSpetsKompleks LLP was held in the Turan district of Shymkent. This event was an important part of the process of beautifying the city and creating comfortable conditions for residents. In this article, we will delve into the features of the campaign, comparing it with similar work last year.

The first part of the event was manual waste collection. 69 employees and 7 vehicles were involved in this work. Household waste was cleaned up on Kozhanov, Zhanibekov, Pavlova, Moldagulova, Ismailov streets. In addition, waste collection was intensified, and a mobile team of 11 people was involved in the night shift to cover additional areas. This approach has a number of features compared to previous years: previously, sanitation campaigns were mostly held in a daytime and single-day format, and night work was not provided.

In the field of landscaping, 20 specialists carried out mowing, lawn planting, loosening flower beds, watering and sanitary pruning of trees on Dulati, Kazybek bi, Ryskulov and Kunayev streets. Although previous campaigns focused mainly on landscaping, the systematic implementation of the work is a new level. In addition to lawn planting, tree care and a complete renewal of green areas are also more extensive and comprehensive than the pilot work of previous years.

In the section on cleaning bus stops, 100 bus stops were cleaned using high-pressure water jetting. Garbage, dust, and dirty waste were removed from bus stops on Baiterekov, Adyrbekov, Baidybek bi, Ryskulov, Konaev, Zheltoksan, Tauke khan, Beibitshilik, Abai, Gagarin, Mangeldin, Kaldayakov, Zhandarbekov, Otyrar, Bekbolatov, and Aishykty streets. In previous campaigns, bus stops were mostly wiped by hand, and the method of using pressurized water was rarely used. This time, technical capabilities were used comprehensively — this is a factor that increased the quality of the campaign.

The main goal of the event is to create a clean, comfortable and green environment for city residents. This goal is aimed not only at external aesthetics, but also at sanitary conditions and environmental comfort. In previous years, there have been significant differences between districts in this goal: sometimes only one or two streets were focused on, and comprehensive work was not always organized.

If we recall similar campaigns in previous years, for example, in 2024, only garbage collection and simple street cleaning were carried out within the framework of sanitary Saturdays. Greening work was carried out only symbolically - within the limits of planting flowers and a few trees. And the 2025 campaign was held at a high level as a real, systematic project, effectively coordinating day and night efforts, greening and sanitation at the same time.

Another feature of the campaign is the effective use of human resources and equipment to the fullest. 69 employees, 7 pieces of equipment, a mobile team of 11 people, 20 specialists - such a mobilization of personnel was more successfully coordinated than before. Previously, reliance on non-technical means and a small number of people prevented the smooth completion of this work.

In addition, the presence of a mobile team working on the night shift has clarified the operational responsibility for sanitation work and allowed it to cover all parts of the city. Previously, campaigns were often limited to daytime hours, and the cleanliness of the city was neglected in the evenings.

In comparison, it can be said that the 2025 campaign has been qualitatively expanded and implemented in a planned manner compared to previous years. Instead of planting flowers on just one street, as before, complex work on several streets — mowing grass, planting lawns, sanitary pruning, washing bus stops, cleaning along the street — everything has been integrated into one system.

A clean city is a social investment that directly affects residents. As the sanitary condition of the district improves, the general cultural level of residents and their responsibility towards the city also increase. While previous years' campaigns have been held mainly at the social and local level, the scale of this year's event, the number of participants, and the methods used demonstrate the strategic importance of the campaign.

In the future, it is important to turn such events into a permanent, systematic, and annual format. Coordination of night and day campaigns, comprehensive landscaping and sanitation, and efficient use of equipment and human resources should be included in the upcoming program.

The sanitation and landscaping works in Turan district on August 7, 2025 were of a higher quality and level than in previous years. This is a real example of the city's care, an impressive step that makes residents feel that they live in a comfortable and beautiful city. If such approaches are expanded to other districts of Shymkent in the future, they will undoubtedly have a great impact on the ecology and social culture of the city.
