The Shymkent Youth Resource Center hosted an award ceremony for the winners and laureates of the city stage of the traditional national competition "Celebratory Family - 2025". The event was attended by Deputy Mayor of the city, Sarsen Kuranbek.

At the award ceremony, Sarsen Abayuly noted the role of traditional families in preserving the unity of the country, saying that in Kazakh society the place of a man, mother, and daughter-in-law has been established for centuries, and it is important to preserve this system and pass it on to the younger generation. He also said that the life stories of past winners will be published in a special book.

Akbota Bekhozhakizy, head of the department of the Shymkent city Department of Internal Policy and Youth Affairs, said that special attention was paid to labor dynasties in this year's competition and that selection work was carried out systematically, starting from the district stage.

- This year, applications were accepted in Shymkent from May 15 to June 15, and more than 150 applications were received. From among the best, 20 families were selected for the city stage, where they were evaluated based on the contribution of family members to society, the success of children, the preservation of labor traditions, and the formation of generational continuity, - he said.

All 20 participating families were awarded letters of gratitude from the city mayor and a television. The grand prize winner, the Nurtayevs, a railway worker family from Al-Farabi district, received a certificate worth 1 million tenge and a ticket to the republican stage to be held in Astana on September 12.
