Cleanup work was carried out in Shymkent as part of the "Taza Alem" environmental campaign
A large-scale environmental campaign "Taza Alem" aimed at protecting nature was organized in Shymkent. As part of this initiative, large-scale cleaning work was carried out at the Badam reservoir, one of the most important water sources in the suburbs. The main goal of the event is to protect the environment, raise environmental awareness, and increase young people's compassion for nature.
Employees of the Shymkent city "Youth Resource Center", members of the volunteer movement and workers of municipal institutions actively participated in the action. In total, about 500 young volunteers contributed to keeping nature clean. 7 special equipment was involved in the cleaning work, and plastic, glass and other household waste from the banks of the reservoir were collected.
As a result of the event, a total of about 7 tons of various waste was removed to special landfills. This is a huge amount of work done in one day. During the event, the participants exchanged views not only on cleaning work, but also on responsibility for the environment, emphasizing the importance of forming an ecological culture.
According to the organizers, the "Taza Alem" project should not be just a temporary action, but a permanent environmental movement. Protecting nature and keeping it clean should be the main principle in the daily life of every citizen.
