On August 16, 2025, a city-wide Saturday event called "Clean City" was organized in the territory of Shymkent. This event was held to ensure sanitary cleanliness, form an ecological culture, and improve the city.

The event was attended by employees of the city administration's departments and structural divisions, specialists from district administrations, representatives of municipal services, volunteers, and city residents. During the event, yards and streets, parks, and riverside areas were cleaned of household waste, dead trees and branches were cut, grass was mowed, and landscaping was carried out.

440 employees and 25 special equipment were mobilized in the Karatau district, resulting in the removal of 46.9 tons of garbage. 240 people and utility workers were involved in this work.

More than 400 people and 33 pieces of equipment participated in the cleaning work in the Enbekshy district, carrying out extensive sanitary work. In the Abay district, about 500 people and 15 pieces of equipment were mobilized to cut dead branches, mow grass, and clean streets.

This event is held regularly within the framework of the nationwide program "Clean Kazakhstan". This initiative is contributing to the improvement of the sanitary and ecological culture of the city's residents, as well as to the beautification of the city of Shymkent.

The cleanliness of the city is everyone's responsibility. Veterans, youth, and active citizens who participated in the Sabbilyk have consistently supported this initiative. Such events will continue in the future.
