          In the women's colony of the Abai region, four convicts waited for the end of their term and were released. Their relatives and friends were waiting at the gate. For one of the convicts, this meeting was the most long—awaited - she was met by her loving husband.                                 The young people met as students, they had common dreams and plans for the future. But things didn't go the way they wanted. The girl contacted the wrong people and began to plant narcotic drugs, for which she was sentenced to seven years in prison in 2021. Despite this, the man constantly came to her, always with flowers and gifts. In 2022, they married in the colony. He was there for me all the time. And today, on one of the happiest days for her, he meets her at the gate.

           — I am grateful to my spouse for his support given to me during all this time. We've been really waiting for this moment. I believe that we will realize our dreams and plans," the convict shared.                          The social project "Meeting at the Gate" helps to guide those released from prison on the right path. And I really want to hope that the colony's doors will no longer be opened to the released citizens," said Anar Sabiyeva, deputy head of the institution.
