On August 11, 2025, a special format of environmental and preventive action was held in the Turan district of Shymkent. The Department of Urban Environment Development and the Turan district police department jointly held the "Clean City" campaign. This event was organized within the framework of the republican "Clean Kazakhstan" program, and its main goal was to ensure the sanitary cleanliness of the territory, maintain public order, and increase the environmental culture of the population.

This time, police officers not only ensured security, but also conducted preventive conversations with residents. They explained to residents of yards and streets about the rules for throwing garbage in special places, preventing illegal dumping, and maintaining public order. In addition, warnings were issued about disturbing the peace in the evening, smoking in public places, and responsibility for minor offenses.

As part of the campaign, law enforcement officers, together with utility service specialists and volunteers, cleaned yards, pedestrian paths, parks and squares of garbage. The collected household waste was transported to landfills using special equipment.

Compared to similar events in previous years, one of the features of this year's campaign is the active involvement of the police and the emphasis on law and order. For example, during the "Clean City" campaign held in 2024, the police were mainly limited to monitoring order. This year, they also worked individually with residents and contributed to the formation of a legal culture.

Representatives of the police department noted that such actions should not be just a one-time event, but should become part of the daily culture of residents. "Cleanliness is not just a visual thing, it is an important part of creating a safe and comfortable environment," said inspectors of the Turan district police.

In conclusion, the 2025 Clean City campaign was an exemplary project in the Turan district that combined ecology and law and order. Such initiatives not only increase the responsibility of city residents towards the environment, but also strengthen order and mutual respect in society.
