The customs post “ICPS Khorgos” carries out systematic work to detect and suppress violations of customs legislation.

For the first seven months of 2025, employees of the customs post “ICPS Khorgos” revealed dozens of facts of illegal movement of goods and currency across the border. Individuals tried to smuggle electronic cigarettes, phones and gadgets.

The largest detentions were related to undeclared cash. In total, 26 cases were detected during this period, during which more than 343 thousand US dollars were seized.

According to court decisions, fines of over 12 million tenge have already been imposed, and another 50 million tenge (the equivalent of almost 94 thousand dollars) has been converted to the state revenue.

Cigarettes and equipment were no less popular. Employees of the customs post “ICPS Khorgos” stopped the illegal movement:

 ∙ 629 electronic cigarettes

 ∙ 3,270 blocks of cigarettes

 ∙ 347 packs of hookah tobacco

 ∙ 225 cell phones

All of this was seized and confiscated by court order.
