Online Consultations Held between Kazakhstan and Pakistan on Trade and Economic Cooperation

Islamabad, August 20, 2025 – Interagency consultations between the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Commerce of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan were held via videoconference. The meeting was co-chaired by Vice Minister Aidar Abildabekov (from the Kazakh side) and Additional Secretary Nasir Hamid (from the Pakistani side).
During the consultations, a wide range of issues related to the development of trade and economic cooperation were discussed, including e-commerce, the conclusion of an intergovernmental agreement on transit trade, the expansion of cooperation between the trade agencies QazTrade and TDAP, as well as the organization of business and trade events in Pakistan this year.
As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed on a step-by-step action plan aimed at the practical implementation of the reached agreements.
