Kazakhstan has once again made a name for itself on the international arena in the field of conformity assessment and accreditation. Gulzhan Amanzholova, a representative of the National Accreditation Center of the Committee for Technical Regulation and Metrology of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan (NCA), took part in the international mission of Asia Pacific Accreditation Cooperation (APAC), which took place in mid-August in the United States.
As part of a team of experts from the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, the United States and Kazakhstan, Amanzholova participated in the initial assessment of one of the American accreditation bodies. The five-day mission to Pennsylvania was an important step not only for the host party, but also for the Kazakhstani expert, who continues to strengthen the country's professional authority at the global level.
"It was extremely intensive, but very productive work. Such trips are always a test of the system and yourself personally for compliance with the highest international standards," Gulzhan Amanzholova noted.
Participation in such missions requires not only deep professional knowledge, but also recognition from the international community. For Gulzhan Amanzholova, this is already the sixth foreign assessment within APAC. This year, she received two recommendations at once for promotion to the status of Lead Evaluator. It is expected that the final decision on assigning this status will be made at the meeting of the APAC MRAMC Steering Committee.
Meanwhile, the key results of the past assessment will be discussed during the ILAC/IAF General Assembly, which will be held in Bangkok in October this year.
For Kazakhstan, the participation of its specialists in the work of international expert groups is an important contribution to the development of global accreditation standards, strengthening the country's position in the professional community and increasing the prestige of the National Accreditation Body of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
