At the National Congress "Honest Person - Honest Work - Honest Success" held in March 2024, Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev gave a specific task to modernize at least 12 thousand kilometers of highways, paying special attention to the development of the country's road and transport infrastructure.
According to the results of the year, this task was successfully implemented, and construction, repair and reconstruction work was carried out on 12 thousand kilometers of roads. Of these, the main work was fully completed on 7 thousand kilometers of roads. About 25 thousand specialists and more than 10 thousand pieces of special equipment were involved in this large-scale project.
As a result, the share of national roads in good and satisfactory condition increased to 93%, and the share of local roads increased to 89%.
