In August 2025, the capital of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Cairo, hosted the XXXIII Citadel International Music and Vocal Art Festival with great success. This festival is considered one of the largest and most prestigious cultural events in the Arab world. It takes place on the territory of the famous Citadel of Salah al-Din and annually gathers creative teams, vocalists and musicians from more than 30 countries of the world.

On behalf of Kazakhstan, the artists of the Danesh Rakyshev Regional Philharmonic performed honorably at the festival, adequately representing the national art on the international stage.

The Kazakh delegation in Cairo was warmly welcomed by the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Arab Republic of Egypt. Ambassador Askar Zhenisuly expressed his support and wished success to the Kazakhstani artists.

Samat Zhangazyuly, Director of the Philharmonic Society, thanked the embassy and the Ambassador personally for the warm welcome and attention to Kazakh art.

It was an important meeting that strengthened cultural ties between the two countries and showcased Kazakh art internationally.

On this prestigious international stage, the Zhetisu region was represented by the artists of the Danesh Rakishev Philharmonic Society, who presented Kazakh traditional art to foreign audiences. The sound of dombra, mysterious melody and national dance warmed up the atmosphere of the festival and aroused the admiration of the audience.

The Philharmonic Orchestra performed at a high level as a cultural brand of Kazakhstan, promoting the rich heritage of national music. The audience was impressed by the originality of Kazakh music and the performing skills.

Within the framework of the festival, the Philharmonic Orchestra together with the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Arab Republic of Egypt laid flowers at the monument to the great poet of the Kazakh people Abai Kunanbayev.

This international participation is not just a concert, but one of the manifestations of the Jetisu culture's entry into the global space. Art has once again proved that this is a bridge of friendship, the spiritual harmony of nations.
