SHYMKENT: A ROUND TABLE NAMED "AIBARY MYKTY - ATA ZAN" WAS HELD

Today, a round table on the theme "The Strongest - the Constitution" dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held at the Friendship House in Shymkent.
The round table was attended by the head of the Shymkent city department for internal policy and youth affairs, chairmen of city ethno-cultural associations and influential public figures in the field of interethnic relations, leaders and members of public structures under the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, as well as representatives of local mass media and members of the bloggers' club.
During the meeting, the legal and political essence of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, its place in the system of state governance, as well as its role in the life of society were widely discussed. The historical significance and unique contribution of the Constitution to the formation of independent Kazakhstan as a democratic, secular and legal state were especially noted.
At the round table, Saken Aralbayuly, head of the Political Science Department of the M. Auezov South Kazakhstan Research University and a member of the scientific and expert group under the City Assembly, focused on the contribution of the Constitution to the development of the state.
In addition, Nurlan Bizhan, Candidate of Legal Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Law and Business at Zh. Tashenev University, made a report and provided a comprehensive analysis of the role of the Constitution in the formation of a legal state.
During the Majilis, the participants drew attention to the special role of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan in strengthening the unity of the country. Today, the Assembly not only forms the Kazakhstani model of interethnic harmony, but also actively participates in the legislative process.
— “Today, we are the only country in the world where the Parliament of Kazakhstan officially ensures the participation of deputies elected from ethnic groups in the legislative process. This is evidence of the unique constitutional status of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan,” said Orynbay Rakhmanberdiev, a statesman and public figure.
At the end of the meeting, the participants noted that preserving the core values enshrined in the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan and strengthening peace and stability within the country is the civic duty and common responsibility of every Kazakhstani citizen.
