Today, a ceremonial event dedicated to the Constitution Day was held in Shymkent. The event "Ata Zanym - Aibynim", which took place in the "Kyzgaldak" Palace, was attended by the city akim Gabit Syzdykbekov, maslikhat deputies, public figures, representatives of culture, art and city residents.
This year, the country's main document, the Constitution, turns 30. The main goal of the festive evening dedicated to this historic date is to increase the legal culture of citizens, popularize the importance of the Basic Law in society, and strengthen national unity.
The event began with a ceremony of bringing the National Flag and the Constitution onto the stage, after which the National Anthem was played, and then those present watched a specially prepared video.
Speaking at the meeting, the city akim Gabit Syzdykbekov emphasized the role of the Constitution in the development of the country and congratulated all Shymkent residents on the holiday.
"The Basic Law is the foundation of our independence, the strong core of our state. Each of its articles is aimed at the benefit of the people, at protecting the rights and freedoms of citizens. Over thirty years, Kazakhstan has honorably withstood various tests and has become a strong state. All these achievements are the result of strict adherence to the principles of the Constitution, the fruit of the unity and cohesion of the people. We must always honor our Basic Law and pass it on to future generations. Happy holiday!" the head of the city said.
Then, at the ceremonial meeting, a number of citizens who contributed to the development of the country were awarded state medals. Among them were the head of the surgical department of the State Public Institution "City Hospital No. 2" Serik Zholdasov, a teacher of the school-lyceum No. 23 named after Z. Kosmodemyanskaya Shekerbek Shakhabayev, the chairman of the Shymkent city maslikhat Bakhadyr Narymbetov, the deputy of the Shymkent city maslikhat Talgat Baltabayev, the deputy akim of the Karatau district Dosaly Amangeldiev, the chairman of the Shymkent city branch of the AMANAT party Murat Zholdykhozhayev. Also, letters of gratitude on behalf of the head of the city were received by the prosecutor of the Department of the Shymkent City Department of the Committee on Legal Statistics and Special Accounts of the Prosecutor General's Office, 2nd class lawyer Kuanysh Amanbaev, senior specialist of the Headquarters of the Armed Forces, military unit 10216 Aisulu Kaldybekova, head of the financial and economic department of the apparatus of the Akim of the city of Shymkent Gulmira Pernebaeva, lawyer of the Shymkent City Clinical Hospital No. 1 Ruslan Shazadayev.
The festive evening continued with a concert program. Residents and guests of the city enjoyed patriotic songs "Ata Zan", "Atameken", "Kazakh Eli", "Zhana Kazakhstan" and saw performances by dance ensembles "Dala Danalygy", "Kazyna", "Yassy". The audience also liked the national works "Koshpendiler", "Kyran Burkit", "Alash Urany".
At the end of the event, the flower “Ykylas” was brought onto the stage, and the festive evening ended on a beautiful note.
